Like its sister entries, this Sierra's zinc alloy body carries genuine metal weight and holds the boxy touring-car silhouette with sharp, consistent cast lines. The sealed, one-piece shell means the flared arches and wide rear wing sit fixed with no hinge gap to interrupt the dense sponsor decal package running across the doors and roof. That construction keeps the Texaco livery's numbers and graphics aligned across a continuous surface, a practical benefit when reproducing a scheme this visually busy at 1:18 scale.

Running three or more Sierras at a single endurance round was common practice for factory-backed Group A teams in the late 1980s, spreading risk and maximizing the chance of a strong result.
