About the BMW 325i E30 Touring Grey Otto 1:18
TL;DR: Otto's 1:18 resin BMW 325i E30 Touring reproduces the 1991 wagon in grey with a sealed one-piece body. Cast resin holds the extended Touring roofline cleanly in standard, unadorned factory trim. A subdued companion to the M Package version of the same casting.
Not every E30 Touring buyer wanted the M Package's added sport trim, and this standard-trim version reflects how most Touring wagons were actually sold and used, practical family transport rather than a performance statement.
A Straightforward Casting on a Rare Body Style
This model shares its underlying wagon tooling with the M Package Touring elsewhere in this range, but presents the E30 estate body without the added spoilers, side skirts, or lowered stance. Cast resin still holds the extended roofline and vertical tailgate cleanly, and grey paint suits the wagon's practical character better than a bolder color would. The sealed body means every line, from the straight beltline to the correct standard-trim wheels, presents as continuous, honest cast detail true to how most E30 Tourings actually left the factory.
Standard Trim as Its Own Collecting Angle
A standard-trim Touring is arguably the more historically representative subject, since M Package cars were always a minority within an already limited Touring production run. Displayed beside the sportier M Package version, this grey model shows the real range of how the E30 wagon was configured when new. For a collector who values accuracy to how these cars were actually driven over aftermarket-style trim, this is the more honest of the two Touring options.
