Alfa Romeo and Zagato developed the TZ2 as a more extreme version of the original TZ, swapping aluminum for fiberglass bodywork and lowering the roofline further to cut weight and aerodynamic drag for racing.

Diecast Build of the TZ2 Racer

The zinc-alloy body carries a solid weight, and the doors and hood both open, exposing the compact engine that the TZ2's reduced weight allowed to compete against far larger-displacement rivals. Panel gaps sit a bit wider than the sharpest resin tooling would produce, standard for this tier, but the lower, more aggressive roofline that separates the TZ2 from the original TZ comes through with real clarity in the casting.
